This course provides training in the knowledge, skills, and safety considerations for properly giving an Intramuscular (IM) Injection. This course may be beneficial for MOAs, PSWs, or Pre-med students or graduates as an additional certificate to earn and increase opportunities for employment or confidence in a current role. This course is ideal for anyone who wishes to learn for oneself or learn to assist a family member with insulin injections.

Medical Transcription
This course integrates medical terminology, anatomy, abbreviations, pharmacology, and medical transcription techniques to produce accurate medical documents for a variety of different medical settings. Students develop proficiency in medical e-transcription and keyboarding techniques. Students transcribe an assortment of medical documents and reports such as consultation and referral letters, follow up notes, diagnostic reports and pathological findings, and patient records.

Phlebotomy Workshop
Phlebotomy is a technological medical discipline which involves drawing blood from patients for blood analysis by using various techniques. Phlebotomists help doctors and nurses in patient care. A Phlebotomist will be in demand for as long as there is blood to donate, diseases to fight, patients to treat, and in-fact there is a growing need for phlebotomists in Canada. The course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. A Red Cross First Aid instructor teaches and demonstrates all required skills. At the end of the course, you get a 3-year certification in Standard First Aid, CPR Level A or C, and AED
